Our Board

Joseph van Wijk, the Acting Chairman, is a New Zealand qualified Chartered Accountant and has a diverse range of international experience in accounting, taxation, investment and financial roles including mergers and acquisitions in the UK and the USA. Joseph is currently the Managing Director of Tasman Capital Limited and also a director of publicly listed TRS Investments Ltd. He has a Bachelor of Business from New Zealand and a Master of Business Administration from the United Kingdom.

Richard Burcher is a Tauranga-based commercial lawyer with some 30 years experience advising private, public and Crown companies on a wide variety of legal and commercial issues. Richard has a particular interest in issues surrounding the commercialisation of intellectual property. Richard is also a director of NZ Law Limited, a notary public, an Associate of the Arbitrators and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand and a Member of the Institute of Directors.

Dene Biddlecombe is Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the company. Dene a chartered accountant with an MBA from Otago University, has 17 years’ experience in senior management roles in the public and private sectors. Dene was formerly Chief Executive Officer of NZX-listed Horizon Energy Distribution Limited in Whakatane. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for NIWA where he was also responsible for the coordination of their research and commercial activities in the United States. Dene was also Chairman of Calgary Petroleum, which was sold to Tag Oil in 2006.

Malcolm Dick is an Alternate Director of Pulse Utilities New Zealand Limited. Malcolm is an experienced telecommunications executive having spent the last 20 years developing such businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
He is currently the Executive Chairman and majority shareholder in the CallPlus/Slingshot group.
