Our Vision
Our vision is to deliver choice and a better deal to as many electricity consumers in New Zealand as possible. By installing smart meters, we help our customers to make choices about when they use power, thus enabling them to reduce their energy consumption at peak times and help protect the environment.
Through our innovative technology, it is our intention to encourage local and renewable sources of generation matching local generation to local customers. This reduces the transmission of electricity for long distances through New Zealand and avoids unnecessary electricity losses that increase carbon emissions.
It is our goal to grow the Pulse brand and for it to be synonymous with being the most environmentally and customer friendly electricity company in New Zealand.

Social and Environmental Responsibility
Pulse Energy, our retail electricity brand, encourages customers to decrease their carbon footprint by offering incentives and information to help reduce the amount of power they use. This is called ‘demand-side management’ and is a concept in keeping with government policy to reduce green-house gases.
